蘋果（Apple）發表新款iPhone兩周下來，台股下挫3%，鴻海股價更陷於修正。金融時報Lex短評指出，外資無區別地賣壓台股，形成有選擇性逢低買進個股的良機博客來網路書局。
Lex短評暗示，台幣這波貶值，其實蘋果大有關係，因此由上而下的宏觀分析，恐怕不如從蘋果供應鏈由下而上的分析來得管用。
蘋果宣布新款iPhone以來，新台幣兌美元貶值1.4%。Lex引述加拿大豐業銀行的報告，外資這段期間自台股賣超19.4億美元，除了因iPhone 8上市反應冷淡之外，iPhone X延遲交貨也影響投資人信心。
Lex認為，台股今年以來已上漲25%，投資人也在找藉口獲利了結。
Lex以鴻海為例，建議因應這種毫無區別由上而下的賣壓，正是由下而上擇機揀股進場的機會。可從這篇短評歸納三個理由：一、iPhone X評價不錯；二 、台積電這兩周只跌2%。三、以美元計算，鴻海按預估獲利計算的本益比比兩周前便宜1/8。
鴻海今天早盤股價變動不大報104.50元，兩周下來已跌10.7%。
據加拿大豐業銀行估計，台灣去年2,810億美元的出口中，有13%與蘋果產品有關，因此，若蘋果營收增加10%，台灣國內生產毛額（GDP）將增加0.7%。
